Maritza Saavedra lives in Tijuana – Mexico. With more than 10 years of professional experience, but a lifetime immersed in the artistic world, Mariza Saavedra is a prominent painter in the creation of abstract and figurative works.

Maritza Saavedra is a visual artist with over a decade of professional experience, working at the intersection of abstract and figurative painting. Drawing from a lifelong immersion in art, she has created more than 300 works across canvas, fabric, and paper. Trained in graphic design and fashion illustration, and shaped by both academic and self-taught practices, Saavedra’s work explores the female figure and everyday forms through expressive abstraction.

Her artistic practice is driven by intuition, process, and perseverance, often evolving through live painting and continuous refinement. With a strong interest in contemporary modes of exhibition, she embraces both physical and virtual spaces, seeking new ways for art to engage viewers. Saavedra’s work reflects a personal, emotional response to the world—inviting interpretation while remaining deeply rooted in instinct and authenticity.
