“What we do out of love, we do to the highest degree of voluntarily“
-Thomas von Aquin-
Lena Blaha was born in Ukraine and has lived and worked in Mainz since 2002. She trained for four years at the renowned Art School in Chernivtsi (Ukraine) and later completed studies in Architecture, as well as Russian Literature, Education, and Philology at the university in Chernivtsi.

Lena Blaha paintings emerge from passion, excitement, fleeting moments, and the encounters we all experience in everyday life—captivating faces, observations, and shifting perspectives inspired by her travels.
Her works reflect the places she has visited or repeatedly returns to—Italy, Africa, and anywhere in between. They portray the people she has met along the way and give form to her emotions, memories, and imagination.
